So this past week brought an offer on the house, which we accepted. Then a quick trip to Florida to check out the boat that we hope to buy. SV Daruma is a Dean 400. It's huge and perfect for cruising with 2 teens and an older dog. For a second I thought this might actually work out.
And then the tropics took over. First there was Marco threatening the gulf coast. Next is Laura, grinding over Cuba and heading our way. Now i sit here after prepping the house for a hurricane and evacuation. Many of you know that our house flooded in Hurricane Ike. We were lucky not to flood in Harvey but it was very close. So we have become very good at prepping the house. Most of our stuff is now in storage and we hope that Laura continues to head east of Houston. We are still hopeful that the house will sell and our adventure will soon begin.
Of course because its 2020 and this day couldn't end without some sort of crazy (likepacking your house isn't enough), the oven repair person dropped the over door smashing the glass across the kitchen. So for now, no oven 2020.
